  • About 55 Research Scholars were awarded M.Phil. and Ph.D. Degrees by the University of Dhaka, the University of Chittagong, the University of Rajshahi and the Islamic University of Kushtia under my direct supervision.
  • Six research scholars are now working for Ph.D. courses under my direct supervision.

  • Served as Assistant House tutor and thereafter House Tutor in Zahurul Haq Hall of the University of Dhaka from March, 1978 to August, 1980.
  • Served as Student Advisor in the Department of Arabic, University of Dhaka from 1993 to 1996.
  • Served as Chairman, Department of Arabic, University of Dhaka from 5th July, 1989 to 4th July, 1992.

  • Participated in the International Seminar organized by the Oriental College of the Punjab University of Pakistan held in22-23 October, 1997 on the occasion of its 125th Foundation Day Ceremony and presented a research paper on “The Socio-political Themes in the Novels of Najib Mahfuz”.
  • Participated in an International Seminar held in the Punjab of Pakistan in 1997as organized by The Universal League of Islamic Literature of Pakistan and presented a research paper entitled, “The Travel Accounts of the Holy Places of Islam--Makka and Madina in the Perspective of Modern Challenges.”
  • Participated in an International Seminar held in India on 13-14th February, 1998 as organized by the Department of Arabic, Aligarh Muslim University and presented a paper on “Comparative Literature with Special References to Arabic.”
  • Visited The Centre of Middle Eastern Studies of Harvard University of the United States of America on the 31st August, 1997 and Participated in a number of Seminars and Lectures on Arabic Language and Literature.
