Plant Growth and Development: Development of various transgenic plants using Agrobacterium tumefaciens gene delivery method, tissue culture, screening of transgenics for GFP silenced lines, Transient and stable expression of GFP gene in plants.

 

DNA and RNA: Genomic DNA isolation, RNA isolation from Plant tissue, Gene mapping, Sub-cloning, mini-preps, PCR, RT-PCR, Sequencing, Library construction, Northern & Southern blots, Transformation

I am currently working on two research projects: Development of Yellow Mosaic Virus resistant Mungbean lines and Tomato Leaf Curl Virus resistant Tomato Plants using antiviral strategy.

Born on 11th April 1976 in Munshiganj, Bangladesh. I am married and blessed with sweet baby boy. I am very much interested to travel new and romantic places and in leisure time reading interesting articles with light music is my passion. Bengali is my mother tongue, I can communicate with English, Hindi fluently.
