Research Experience

1.

During Ph.D. program at the Tottori University, Japan, I have worked on the novel rolesof 15-deoxy D12,14-prostaglandin J2 and lipocalin-type prostaglandin D synthase (L-PGDS) in adipogenesis  program of cultured preadipocytes. At this level, I constructed the mammalian expression vector containing L-PGDS at the reverse orientation and transfected the expression in 3T3-L1 pre-adipocytes to explore the role of intracellular L-PGDS in the adipogenic pathway. I have also evaluated the role of exogenous 15-PGJ2, a product of L-PGDS on the adipogenic pathway.

During M.S in Shimane University, Japan, I worked on regulation and interaction of  arachidonic cyclooxygenase pathway in cultured adipocytes and the precursor cells.

3.

During M. Pharm at Dhaka University, Bangladesh, I worked on bioactivity guided phytochemicalinvestigation on Tremaorientalis. I checked antitumor, antibacterial and cytotoxicactivities of the different solvent extract of the roots of the tree. I isolated severalcompounds form the extracts and elucidated the structure of their structure.
